So let’s not avoid the topic around money in hope it will go away therefore I want to touch on couple of things. We all know that no matter what you earn or believe we all must deal with money.

There will be some challenging times ahead for most New Zealanders coming our way around finances and income due to all that is going on has gone on and is to come yet, from COVID 19, as we are still to date experiencing the event and have not yet fully experienced yet the consequences of the event. So let’s not avoid the topic around money in hope it will go away therefore want to touch on couple of things.

Money, money, money.

  • You think about money.
  • You work for money.
  • You save money.
  • You spend money.
  • You “give” your money

Even though money you may say isn’t an essential thing in your life. A significant portion of your life will revolve around earning, saving, giving, and spending money. So your relationship with money isn’t something you can just brush aside as unspiritual or unnecessary.

How are you feeling about your financial future currently? Are you stressed, anxious?  Fearful, have self-doubt? If so and left unaddressed these will get in the way of you moving forward. Many would grade themselves a C, D or F when it comes to their finances and what they can do about it after all money is the biggest stress in life for most, without the now financial recession to deal with.

Financial Security

If you want to change your life for the better and start your journey to financial security. then it’s time to not avoid the issue but do something different. And it is probably not going to be easy. Here are my seven suggestions:

  1. Decide What’s Important to You, your priorities around money.
  2. Get educated about money and investments
  3. Cut the frivolous spending. First take a good hard look at Food & Fun money
  4. Create a spending and saving plan, learn to manage your current income well.
  5. Begin and act and stay with the plan.
  6. Identify and Eliminate Any Negative Blocks You Have About Money. (change your thoughts)
  7. Be grateful with what you have now

There are a lot of factors to overcome to take control of your financial well-being and to change your life for the better. Look at your own self-concept as you can self-sabotage your efforts and desire to be moving forward and do take hope from the many stories of people who have gone from being homeless to being financially secure, persevere.

The key is to just start. What could you implement right now?
