What determines your wealth?

Do you struggle with money? Do you find yourself living pay check to pay check, struggling to make ends meet, despite trying your best to save and strive for more? If so, you’re not alone.

Outline of a brain against a black backgroundI’ve come to understand exactly what drives people’s financial behaviour – and it’s not what you think. I have personally helped hundreds of people with their finances, and once you realize how simple it is, you will be able to gain tracks in becoming financially successful.

So what’s the secret to finally being in control of your finances and being able to stop worrying about money? The truth is. It’s about what’s going on internally. Your subconscious mind at work.

Here is a great article below that I wish to share with you all. He explains it well, no need for me to re-write something that has been said by a top expert in his field in how our brains work and how it affects our actions and ability to succeed or not to succeed. Which is why you can give someone a great Budget Plan for their spending but it won't work. Take a read.

By John Assaraf CEO of NeuroGym:

When I talk about your inner self, I’m referring to the thoughts, mental patterns, and beliefs you hold which are directly stopping you from achieving the wealth you desire.

These are processes that are happening at a subconscious level, which you may not have been aware of – until now.

Perhaps you’ve had thoughts like these:

I’m not smart enough.

I’m not good enough.

I’m not worthy enough.

If you fundamentally believe that you’re only worth a limited amount of income, for example, you won’t be able to achieve more than that.

The good news? You only need to do one thing, upgrade your brain with new truths.

Your brain is like a computer

Think of your brain as a computer. You have hardware, an operating system, and software.

Relating this back to you, think of your body as the hardware, your brain is the operating system, and your beliefs and habits are your software.

Now, what’s the most vital part of a computer?

If your software is corrupt, you will never get the results you want, no matter how fast the operating system is, nor how pretty the computer is.

Your beliefs and habits cause your perceptions, which in turn create your emotions – and actions.

These cause you to take action – or not take action – every single day.

Some emotions are constructive, some are destructive – but our brain doesn’t discriminate between what it acts upon.

Most importantly, you need to believe that you deserve the financial success you desire.

Financially successful people have fundamentally different beliefs

The core reason why some people are financially free and others aren’t is simple.

It all comes down to beliefs.

Successful people fundamentally believe that they deserve to be successful, and they take steps to ensure that it happens.

Their inner game is focused on positive thoughts and beliefs, and because of this, they empower themselves to achieve the greatness they know they are capable of.

It’s important to remember: people do not earn what they’re capable of earning; people earn what they are conditioned to earn.

Anybody can change their beliefs.

You need to develop a new habitual mental pattern that is more in line with the desires and goals you have and are striving for.

These neural patterns (habits) are known as software, or your financial blueprint.

These are what formed your fears, perceptions, emotions, and habits that you perform every single day – and what is holding you back from living the life of your dreams.

In order to get in control of your finances, you need to change your internal settings/blueprint that you’ve developed over your life.

Firstly, set your goal. Visualize it. Make it as crystal clear as possible.

The most common mistake I have seen people making is that they focus on the result without working on the inner game.

But the truth is, you can release unproductive thoughts, disempowering beliefs and destructive habits that are holding you back right now.

When you are able to reprogram your brain and work on core beliefs, you will see the effects in your financial life.

You have the power within you to change your finances – and your life.
