Wisdom is Calling

Right now, is a time of preparation and decision it is imperative that we seek and partner with wisdom. It can be a time of excitement or a scary time also, as small, or big things are being re-ordered around us.  If you feel overwhelmed by the changes take heart and know that you do not walk alone.

“The wisdom of God longs to walk with you.” This is the message of Hebrews 13:5,

I love this succinct commentary from the Bible

to seek after wisdom whatever the cost, and do not forsake her, for her riches are finer than gold and rubies, keeping you on the path of righteousness and in the place of promise and victory (Proverbs 4:6-7, Proverbs 16:6, Proverbs 8:11). Wisdom is calling! Do you hear her voice, and will you listen to her instruction? Wisdom calls out for us to heed her cry, giving us good life, justice, right actions and words, protection, provision, honor, peace, mercy, good fruit, and so much more (James 3:13-17, Proverbs 17:28, Proverbs 3, Ecclesiastes 7:4-14)

May we in this season join with “wisdom” at a deeper level, seek her insights and ways in all we are to do.  The bible says without wisdom “we are foolish and are easily led astray” If you feel confusion or turmoil in your emotions or in making choices this coming season, fear not! Know that the wisdom of God seeks to guide you and walk with you.

Three Ways to Receive Wisdom

First, prepare your heart

Transition can often feel like a crazy mix of emotions and decisions needing to be made. You are not where you were, and yet not fully moved into where you are going or just at that place where you know change is coming but not sure where or what to change. Use this time in quiet, allow yourself to take time out and seek God and ask Him if there is anything in you that is blocking, hindering you to making choices needed to see what changes are to be made and or how to walk and navigate in this new path you are on. Seek wisdom in this time to see if there are any false beliefs, disempowering thoughts that need uprooting from within your mind and heart, which may keep you wandering, stuck or even worse keep you from walking into all you were created to be in this new season.

Remember “He who brought you into the journey is faithful to bring you through it and finish the work He started (Philippians 1:6, Exodus 14, 1 Cor 10:13).

Second, remain in a posture to receive wisdom

If you want to be wise, you must be steadfast to remain in and grow in good character. Be grounded in maturity, humility and Love. Seek wisdom to bring healing to places you know within you that need to be refined that are not fully aligned with all that will be required for you to walk into the “new” So you can make good choices and begin to make the chances required for this season of positioning. What doors need to be opened or closed around your emotions and or 5 senses

Third, walk with the wise

The people you walk closely with will eventually affect your character, beliefs, and actions. Either bringing you closer to walking out triumphantly this coming year in your correct lane or not. We are told in Proverbs 13:2 “if you want to be wise, you should walk with the wise.

Who have you around you? Who have you positioned yourself under to receive direction or counsel is very important they create a framework for accountability and growth in wisdom.

We are also told to not forsake the instructions from our parents. Naturally it can also make things more confusing if what we sense isn’t aligning with what we are hearing from others.  So as proverbs 13:10 instructs us that “a wise person listens trusts the voice inside himself and prays into the instruction they received” hence receive confirmation or not, and so don’t follow blindly.

Blessings
